Somebody has to come up with money to purchase the real estate, or art works, or whatever. Then that money has to purchase food from farms, orchards, etc. Since there is not enough food to go around, a sudden influx of cash in search of food just bumps up the price so much that those who can manage to buy food now won't be able to buy anymore. More starving people is the only possible result of such an idiotic plan. Somebody knows diddly-poo about psychology, economics, resource management, and more. Think things through! The Number One cause of poverty is people producing children they cannot or will not support. Pass out the birth control! Encourage people to wait until they are capable of feeding, housing, clothing, educating, etc, before they go making another mouth to feed. The vatican has been extremely remiss in encouraging personal responsibility.

How to show my concerns for the Sistine Chapel
How to show my concerns for the Sistine Chapel?
I recently went to Rome this summer, which of course was FULL of tourists (I was one of them so I'm not complaining about them). Upon walking into the Sistine Chapel, I noticed signs everywhere saying no flashes for cameras, but EVERYONE in there had their flashes going off. Which as most know, can deteriorate a painting. There were guards in there that were doing absolutely nothing! I found this to be such an outrage, does anyone else agree? Is there any way to contact the Vatican to let them know that by allowing this behavior from tourists, they are destroying a beautiful work of art on their Sistine Chapel ceiling? Please let me know if you have any ideas. PS. I already looked at their website and found nothing.

this is a good point you bring up. but no matter what, you cant really stop it. of course they can kick people out, but what do they care, they already got their pictures. humans are selfish and ignorant and nothing can really change that.

It does not surprise me that the Italian guards were doing nothing, Italians can be pretty lazy at times (I am Italian so don't anyone take offense to this remark). I think that someone else owns the copy write to print pictures of the Sistine Chapel, not the Vatican, and I thought that was why you couldn't take pictures of it.

Secret/s being hidden by the Vatican?
I'm sorry, but a woman i know (she is a mormon) once said that there are many fetuses that are buried under some Church/es in the Vatican and that they are the works of the priest and nuns(priest impregnated nuns) She said this in front of my face and i was surprised that a teacher can say this. She didn't even went to the Vatican. I know this is unbelievable but i would like to know, Where the hell did she get that idea? Is it really what they(mormons) are telling their people? ****** No offense meant but the fact that she is a teacher and around 45-50 years old, i believe that if she tell it to her students, she can influence them. ******* Just asking... Peace @ Mr. short and to the point I am sorry for the grammatical blunder but may i know what is the correct sentence for that? @Rowan Thanks! The problem with conspiracy theories is that they are extremely hard to de-bunk because their entire premise hinges on a "cover up" or "lack of apparent evidence" You might be able to show her TONS of examples in the press, in Scholarly publications showing how open the archives are in the Vatican, and she'll persist with her idea, no doubt believing that "this is what they want you to think" or "well those are the archives they allow you to see, there are more" You could probably show her evidence proving that people have excavated the catacombs and she might persist in saying "they just haven't found them yet" The problem with some of these ideas is that they are based on conspiracy and cover up. IF the person persists in believing them, than hardly anything can convince them otherwise.
