Why doesn't the Vatican let go of their stranglehold on historical books in their library

Why doesn't the Vatican let go of their stranglehold on historical books in their library?
Isn't that selfishness to an immoral degree, to hide these works from the world?

Of COURSE! If they "can't" produce the book, then they MUST have it, right?

They will hold onto anything that they feel will distract from the Biblical canonized teachings with the idea that it will confuse and tear the sheep from the pasture of the Master. My Opinion only! Rev. TomCat

They are hiding something, I think.

Because they know that said books may fracture their religion.

They don't hid books away. As a grad student of Medieval history, I have spoken to several professors who have researched in the Vatican Archives. They all have told me that they have such a massive quantity of texts from different ages that they are poorly organized. In truth, the Vatican has no idea of what they actually have. Hence, every ten years or so, a scholar finds something ground breaking. The truth is, they are no different than any national archives. I mean, when was the last time you did research in the national archives of France of England? What do you know about it? The Vatican Archives are completely open to scholars who make appointments. Guess what, if you want to do research in the Royal Archives of Spain, you need to be a scholar and you need to make an appointment. My guess is, you know nothing of academic research. You have been reading too much Dan Brown. Here, this is a website created by people within the Catholic Church and it gives you access, for free, to most documented texts the Church has. Although, it wont be much good to you if you cant read Latin. But thats your problem. http://www.documentacatholicaomnia.eu/a_1010_Conspectus_Omnium_Rerum_Alphabeticus_Littera.html

Why let confusion destroy your faith. In the same token if you are still searching for God then you have already strayed. There is literature everywhere. You just need to search for it. Ask God in prayer to show you clues, and you will find him. I tell you this by experience. I was once confused. I searched everywhere for him. I seached on the internet. I watched television shows. Every book I could get a hold of I read. Keep strong in your faith. If you don't believe what you are being told, again I say ask God to give you the clues.
